ROULETTE

A film based on the play “Roulette” by Douglas Hill

Written by Joachim Staaf & Michael Greenburg

Logline Synopsis

After seven years of marriage, Jenny and Matt decide to call it quits and sever a life that’s become consumed with arguments.

They set off on a road trip from Phoenix to Las Vegas to get a divorce and to replant Matt.  Their journey forces them to face their past, their future, their relationship, and most of all themselves.

Much to their surprise, they discover that they might not be the ones making the decisions after all.  A boomerang photo album with uncomfortable memories, a magic wallet, a never ending tank of gas and a mysterious wedding band are just a few of the things that might change the course of their lives.

Roulette is a road movie embodied by human nature, gestalt theory emphasizing that we perceive things as a whole rather than the individual components of life all of which is surrounded by spiritual magic and the lyrics of some of rocks classics.
