The Pix Theatre in White Plains opened on November 26, 1935. It was the first theatre in Westchester County, New York, designated specifically for “talkies” or motion pictures with sound. Michael Greenburg and his high school filmmaking buddy, Kenny Neigh, used to watch films together in this iconic theatre. They decided to name their film company Big Pix Inc. in homage to the Pix Theatre and their quest to make big films in Hollywood. In the early 1980s, when Kenny passed away tragically as a result of a Christmas Eve car crash, Mike decided to keep the name of their company, Big Pix Inc., alive in Kenny’s honor. They shared a youthful, passionate common interest in filmmaking, and Michael wanted their strong spiritual connection to fuel his future in Hollywood. And so it did and continues to drive Michael to execute iconic shows at the highest qualitative level.
